Swept vs Microsoft Copilot Studio

Copilot Studio is Microsoft's toolkit for building your own agents in Microsoft 365 and Power Platform. Swept builds and runs claims and underwriting agents for carriers, and puts them and every other AI tool under one set of guardrails. If you already build internal bots in Studio, you can keep them.

Where each one sits

A carrier's AI shows up in four places. Copilot Studio works in one of them: agents, and only the ones your team builds in Microsoft's stack. Swept covers agents too, plus how staff use every approved model and the AI your vendors ship.

What each does well

Microsoft Copilot Studio

  • A low-code builder that business teams can use, with enough depth for professional developers.1
  • A large library of certified Power Platform connectors, so agents can reach Microsoft 365, Dataverse and many other business systems.12
  • Admins control connectors, knowledge sources, channels and sign-in from the Power Platform admin center, with Microsoft Entra ID.4

Swept

  • The AI tools your people already want, in their native form.
  • Policyholder data checked on every request, before it reaches any model.
  • Claims and underwriting agents built and run for you, with human sign-off.

Try one real task: an adjuster drafts a coverage letter from a claim file

With Microsoft Copilot Studio

Studio only helps the adjuster if your team has built a claims agent for the task. If it has, data policies limit which systems the agent can reach, and Purview logs the prompt and the response.

With Swept

The adjuster uses Claude or ChatGPT through Swept. Policy numbers and health details are caught before the request leaves your environment, and the draft is logged for review.

Questions carriers ask

Is Swept a replacement for Copilot Studio?

Usually not. Copilot Studio is a toolkit for building your own agents in Microsoft 365 and Power Platform. Swept builds and runs claims and underwriting agents for you, and puts every approved AI tool under one set of guardrails. Many carriers keep Studio for internal bots.

We have a Power Platform team. Why not build claims agents ourselves?

You can. Studio gives you the builder, the connectors and the test tools. Your team still designs each agent, sets its data rules, tests it and keeps it working. Swept's claims and underwriting agents come scoped to assist, with human sign-off and an audit log mapped to the NAIC Model Bulletin.

Can Power Platform data policies do the same data checks?

They control which connectors, knowledge sources and channels an agent can use. They don't read prompts for policyholder data. Purview can keep labeled SharePoint files out of some agent answers. Swept checks every request to every approved model.
