Copilot lets us pick Claude now. Why would we need Swept?
Copilot is a chat agent. Selecting Claude inside its chat window gives you the chat window, not Claude Code, Claude for Office, or Cowork, and not the ChatGPT Apps SDK. It is the same model name against a much smaller surface.
Swept Access issues your team an API key instead. That key works in Claude Code, Cursor, and any other application your team already runs, against any model you approve.
Where does our data actually go?
Into a private environment that we run on infrastructure dedicated to you. Requests do not pass through OpenAI's or Anthropic's general consumer services, and nothing you send is used to train anyone else's model.
Encryption and access rules are mapped to your existing org structure, so permissions follow the roles you already maintain.
Do our people have to use your chat application?
No. Swept Chat is one way to reach the gateway and it is the easiest place to start, but the gateway is the product.
Teams that would rather work in Claude Code, Cursor, or their own internal applications point those at the Swept API key and never open our interface.
Which models can we use?
Any model you approve, open source or closed. Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini are the ones most teams start with, and the gateway can route different tasks to different models so you are not paying top-tier prices for routine work.
Because the routing sits with Swept rather than inside a vendor's product, changing your mind later is a configuration change and not a migration.
How is Swept Access priced?
Usage-based, with no upfront cost and no seat licenses. You pay for the AI your team actually uses.
